The BRICS countries are introducing a new currency (BRICS currency) against the dollar. It is true that if the new currency makes its way into the market, the dollar will soon lose its value. The US President’s concern is justified because the new BRICS note has also been designed and it is likely that the BRICS currency will soon dominate the market. In addition to imposing tariffs of up to 150 percent, the US President has also threatened not to trade. First of all, it is important to examine what BRICS is? First, the BRIC alliance was formed and included Brazil, Russia, India and China. Later, South Africa also joined. Initially, the aim of BRICS was economic prosperity and the main objective was to highlight investment opportunities. By 2009, its objectives had increased. Now BRICS has taken the form of an integrated geopolitical bloc and an attempt is being made to formulate a new course of action. Annual meetings are also held and government members of the BRICS countries also meet each other. BRICS membership is increasing and many countries have become members of this alliance. At present, the BRICS countries represent a quarter of the global economy. Russia and Brazil are trying to make BRICS a place in the currency market against the dollar. BRICS can also prove dangerous for NATO because its objectives are now increasing. In 2024, the Russian President also expressed his intention to make joint efforts among the member countries to improve foreign policy, regional and international security and stability. The majority of the BRICS member countries also have serious differences among themselves and these differences are affecting the BRICS alliance. American pressure is also creating obstacles. Just as the US President is threatening to increase tariffs by 150 percent and also announcing the end of trade. If they have, many countries will not be able to withstand this threat. Many countries in the BRICS are unable to withstand a power like the United States, and American pressure may force them to leave the BRICS. Many countries in the BRICS are economically strong, and many countries are also economically weak. Strong economies will be able to withstand the United States, but weak economies will be unable to withstand it. Another reason is that many countries are weak in terms of defense, and the United States can easily pressure these weak countries.
To assess the strength of the dollar, it is enough to say that 80% of the world’s economy depends on the dollar. The dollar dominates the global market and oil, gas and other valuable commodities are bought and sold in dollars. No other currency can compete with the dollar, although the value of many other currencies is very high in terms of price. If oil is bought and sold in other currencies instead of dollars, the value of the dollar can fall significantly. Trump has expressed the same fear that an attempt is being made to destroy the dollar. In addition to trade between countries, loans are also taken in the form of dollars. The biggest reason for the strength of the dollar is that America dominates the world. American power is preventing the value of the dollar from weakening. If the members of the BRICS decide to compete with the dollar, they may succeed in their efforts. India or some other countries can also weaken this alliance by separating from the BRICS, but it cannot be claimed that the dollar can compete with the dollar. It will not be possible.
The question also arises whether the United States is currently so powerful that it is competing with the entire world alone? There are reports of increasing distance between many countries, including the European Union, and the United States. There is also an increased possibility that the United States will form a new alliance and this alliance will create global changes. Many countries are trying to compete with American power and a power like China is also trying to reduce American influence, but no clear results have been achieved yet. There is also an increased possibility that as Trump is announcing tariffs on many countries and in response, tariffs are also being announced on American products, the possibility of the American economy becoming weak increases. Other countries can also weaken the American economy by forming trade alliances with each other. Many countries like Pakistan are making great efforts for economic struggle and if the BRICS currency makes its place in the market, the economies of many countries can become strong. Transactions in the BRICS currency can make many countries prosperous. Trump, who imposed tariffs They are announcing an increase of up to 150 percent.
